Before you book
- About 1.5 hours, with an English-speaking instructor. Transport to and from the workshop and meals are not included; contact the operator if you have trouble finding the place.
- A standard-size multi-purpose knife is included. The bigger blades, usuba, deba and petit yanagiba, cost extra.
- Friends or family who come only to watch pay an observation fee on site. Alcohol and drugs are not allowed. Wheelchair accessible.

About This Experience
A 1.5-hour workshop in Asakusa: wear a light haori, hear the history of Japanese knives, sharpen a blade, engrave the handle and hammer it on, then take the knife home gift-packed.
